Style Closet ("we," "our," or "us") is an AI-powered wardrobe management and outfit planning application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it, when you use our mobile application and related services.
This section explains, in full, every way Style Closet collects, uses, shares, stores, retains, and deletes photographs that contain your face. We treat this information as sensitive and handle it accordingly.
Style Closet collects only ordinary photographs that you choose to take or select. We collect this face data in exactly two situations, both of which you initiate yourself:
We do not create, derive, or store any faceprint, face template, face geometry map, face signature, or any other biometric identifier. Style Closet does not perform facial recognition and cannot identify you, or match you against any other person or database, from a photograph. The on-device face detection we use determines only whether a face is present in the frame and where its rectangular boundary lies, so that the image can be automatically cropped and centered. This detection data exists only momentarily in device memory and is never stored or transmitted.
Selfies taken for Color Analysis never leave your device. The analysis runs locally, using on-device machine learning that operates without any network connection. Your selfie is analyzed in device memory and the resulting color season (for example, "Warm Autumn") is saved. The photograph itself stays on your device — it is never uploaded to our servers and never sent to any third party. Only the text label of your color season is stored in your account.
When you use a Virtual Try-On feature, the photograph you submit is uploaded over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our servers, and then transmitted to a third-party AI image generation provider, which processes it to produce your try-on result. This transmission is the only disclosure of your face data to a third party.
The try-on image we generate for you also shows your face. We treat that generated image as face data too, and everything in this section applies to it as well.
Your face data is used for a single purpose: generating the try-on image you requested. Specifically, we do not:
Our AI provider processes this data solely as our service provider, under contractual terms that prohibit using data submitted through its interface to train its models. It retains such data only for a limited period for abuse monitoring, and then deletes it.
Face data associated with Virtual Try-On — both the photograph you submit and the try-on image generated from it — is stored on secure cloud infrastructure located in the United States. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Face data is never stored on any other server, and we do not maintain backups of it in any other jurisdiction.
Selfies used for Color Analysis are not stored anywhere, because they never leave your device (see Section 3.2).

Style Closet does not track you. We do not display advertising in the app, we do not use any advertising network or attribution service, we do not access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), and we do not link the information we collect with data from third parties for advertising purposes. We do not share any of your information with data brokers.
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the categories of service providers necessary to operate the app, and only to the extent required to deliver the feature you requested:

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to our production systems is restricted to authorized personnel using key-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Style Closet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information, including face data, from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with such information, contact us at support@newwaylabs.co and we will delete it.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can edit your profile, delete individual items and try-on results, and delete your account entirely from within the app, as described in Section 3.6. For any other request, contact us at support@newwaylabs.co.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date above.
